War Bonds are here! Call of War’s newest resource can now be used in newly created game rounds.

  • War Bond production is not tied to gameday, provinces or buildings.
    • War Bonds accumulate passively at the same rate for all players
    • The accumulation rate can not be increased or decreased
    • The accumulation rate does not scale with speed factor 
      • UPDATE 2024-07-29: Currently War Bonds accumulation scales with speed factor. We are monitoring the impact this has on live games and if any balancing concerns arise from this
  • War Bonds can be used to pay for almost all special actions that were previously available with Gold
    • Heal Units
    • Speed up production, construction or research
    • Instant spy actions
    • Morale Boosts
    • Gold can now be solely used to top up resources, including the new War Bonds
  • There are some important differences to the other resources, to make sure this powerful tool is properly balanced:
    • War Bonds can not be traded between players
    • War Bonds are not available on the stock market
    • War Bonds can’t be looted from defeated players
    • War Bonds can not be used on Allies and their units

      • You can also no longer use Gold to help your Allies
      • Booster Cards can still be used to the benefit of your Allies

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that occurred when splitting up a stack of airplanes The split unit will no longer teleport back to its home airfield. It will now correctly travel to its destination if it’s in range, or otherwise return back to base.
  • Fixed a bug that caused new alliances to be created with 0 ELO. Now the starting value is correctly set to 1000.
