This behavior is due to a recent update to how air units operate during patrols. Each air unit now has a specific patrol time. Once this time expires, the unit will automatically return to base to refuel before heading back to the patrol area.
How to Manage Patrol Times:
- Check Patrol Time: You can find the patrol time for each air unit on its unit card. This time starts counting down as soon as the unit leaves the base.
- Plan Patrols: Be mindful of the patrol time when planning your air missions. Ensure your air units have enough time to return, refuel, and get back to their patrol duties without interruption.
- Strategic Refueling: Consider the location of your airbases to minimize the travel time for refueling. Placing bases closer to patrol areas can help maintain continuous coverage.
