Balancing changes

Today's balancing changes reduce early-game timings drastically, increase late-game timings, reduce construction times, and increase high-level unit speed in order to make every unit accessible in the early game while making leveling up single units also more attractive.

  • Production and research speed for level 1 has been increased drastically
    • For example, a research time that used to be 24 hours might be reduced to 1-10 minutes for level 1 now
  • Reduced Airbase, Barracks, Heavy Factory, Ordnance Foundry, and Power Plant construction time
    • For example, a construction time that used to be 24 hours for level 2 buildings might be reduced to 1.5 - 6 hours.
  • The reduction effect that power plants have on the production of units has been increased.
  • Adjusted how min production time for units is handled.
    • Old: min production time 40% of the base production time for all units.
    • News:  level 1-3 min production time 75% of base production time.
    •  New: level 4-6 min production time 45% of base production time.
    •  New: level 7+ min production time 15% of base production time.
    •  Exception: epic units are grouped for levels 1-2, 3-4 and 5+
  • Increased movement speed of high-level units

General

  • We changed the way a number of resources are rounded in the resource bar. It will be rounded down to the closest number to prevent any confusion when trying to build expensive units or buildings.
    • For example, if you have 4170 grain, the resource bar will show it as 4.1k.
    • This change prevents the situation when a player gets the impression that enough resources are available due to the figures being rounded up in the display, although the resources available actually are a little short of the requirements for the unit or building that he or she wants to build.

Bug fix

  • A visual bugs were fixed that did not display resource icons in the resource trade bar.
  • An issue was resolved that prevented you from seeing the full list of countries you are at war with.
  • A bug was fixed that made units that encountered a disembarking army embark instead of attacking. This caused a major inconvenience and many troops being lost, but this will not happen anymore.
  • An issue was fixed where ranged units would not attack revealed enemy stealth units even when Fire control is set to Fire at Will, Offensive, or Aggressive mode.
