The Flame Tank Arrived - Release Notes

General

  • The brand new Flame Tank is now available in the game. Based on the historical Churchill Crocodile, it’s available to all doctrines. As an offensive unit, it’s the ideal choice when breaching through defensive lines.
    • The unit can be deployed in already existing game rounds.
    • The Flame Tank ignores the defensive bonus provided by fortifications, and excels at fighting unarmored opponents.
    • Flame Tanks can not be researched or produced. Instead they are deployed via the new Unit Cards feature. As such, the Flame Tank also ignores doctrine bonuses and penalties.
    • Enjoy the new Flame Tank background art in the main menu!
  • Introduced the new Unit Cards feature. Unit Cards let you deploy units directly from your Inventory.
    • Unit Cards can be deployed in already existing game rounds.
    • A minimum province morale is needed to deploy.
    • Once deployed, the unit enters mobilization and cannot move or attack for a while, just defend.
    • Unit levels will match the unit's research level in the game round.
    • You can only deploy units in your provinces.
    • You cannot deploy in provinces under attack.
    • You cannot deploy over units that are mobilizing.
    • Units deployed from Unit Cards must comply with the day of availability.
    • The day of availability is tied to the level of the Unit Card.
  • Added a brand new set of Operations. The new Operation goals can be completed by fulfilling tasks in the game.
    • Added capturing provinces and capitals in a system-generated match as a new task.
    • Survival of a certain amount of days in a system-generated match was added as a new task.
  • Complete missions to get rewards such as the new Unit Cards, including the Flame Tank
    • Adjusted the defense behavior of stealth units. When a stealth unit was stationed in a province center under attack it would get locked into close combat with the attacking army. Yet the stealth unit didn’t become visible to the attacker, leading to confusion.
    • Stealth units stationed in province centers will now always join the defense, becoming visible in the process.
    • Stealth units stacked with other, visible units will also join the defense when the stack is under attack. The stealth units become visible in the process.

Bug Fix

  • Fixed an issue that caused the stop button to not be displayed when multiple units were selected. This could cause issues with canceling upgrade, convert or deployment actions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused customized player names to break out of bounds in the chat window.
  • Removed duplicate text from the terrain type tooltip in the army bar on desktop.
  • Fixed an alignment issue in the spy window. The buttons used to add/removed spy actions will now be fixed in place, no longer moving around depending on the input value.
  • Fixed a bug with the notification for new messages in alliance chat that caused a wrong number to be displayed each time the game was restarted. It will now display the proper number of new messages.
  • Fixed edge cases where players were able to spend gold after being defeated.
  • Cleaned up the game info window for Alliance vs Alliance matches. Text is no longer breaking out of bounds or displayed in the wrong color.
