Release Notes 2022-01-26
General:
- The default fire mode of units produced and controlled by the AI has been changed from "Fire at Will" to "Offensive".
Balancing:
- The AI in Event maps starts to act later in the game now. In events with normal speed factor this happens on in-game day 2 to 3 and on speed maps on day 4, instead of day 1.
- The likelihood of the AI building many production buildings was slightly reduced.
- Supply Drops appear slightly more frequent now.
- Supply Drops now start to spawn on the second day of game rounds instead of the third day
- Supply Drops now have a 36h duration to be collected instead of 48h prior to this change.
- After the 36h duration a new drop now spawns within the next 18h instead of 24h prior to this change.
- Paratrooper:
- The mobilization times were reduced from 9/8/7/6 to 6/5/4/3.
- The manual converting time was reduced from 7/6/5/4 to 6/5/4/3.
- SP Rocket Artillery & SP Anti Air:
- The movement speed was increased by +5.
- SP Artillery:
- The movement speed was increased by +5.
- The hitpoints of the 5th level was increased by +5
- Comintern Doctrine:
- The production time buff for Medium Tanks was increased from 15% to 20%
- The production time buff for Infantry units was increased from 20% to 30%
- The upkeep cost reduction for Infantry units was increased from 15% to 20%
- A production time buff of 20% was added for Rocket Artillery units.
- Additional unique buffs were added to existing Doctrines:
- Allies: The production cost of Mechanized Infantry units was reduced by -10%.
- Allies: The hitpoints of Mechanized Infantry units were increased by +10%.
- Axis: The attack range of Railroad Guns was increased by +10
- Axis: The movement speed of Railroad Guns was increased by +10%.
- Comintern: The hitpoints of Attack Bombers were increased +15%.
- Comintern: The production time of Attack Bombers was decreased by -15%.
- Panasian: The capacity of Aircraft Carriers was increased by +1
- Panasian: The production time of Aircraft Carriers was decreased by -20%.
Beta Client:
- Buttons in the main menu of the Beta Client now have an active button effect. Clicking on an active button a second time closes the menu.
- A Login Rewards Panel for new players was added for the Beta Client.
- A resource storage overview was added to the Beta Client. You can open the storage overview by clicking on the resource bar.
- The split army panel was reworked in the Beta Client to improve its usability.
- The army bar and split army popup of the Beta Client received some polishing.
- The speedup tooltip mentions the amount of time that is skipped now.
- Clicking on an entry in the global build queue now selects the corresponding province on the map and centers the camera on it.
- The chat window now closes with all panels, including Province Administration and Army Panel.
- The resource production info in the spy panel now shows the right amount being produced.
- The espionage panel now gives you an overview of your Spies, including information on which spies are currently deployed and how much they cost daily.
- The research panel of the Beta Client was polished.
- To make research requirements clearer, arrow heads were added between each item in the research overview.
- An issue was resolved that caused the day indicator in the research overview to be displayed in the wrong position for historical maps.
- An issue was resolved that could cause wrong doctrine unit images to be displayed in the research interface.
- A bug was fixed that could prevent the research panel from being scrollable to the right, and made it immediately jump back.
- The stock market panels of the Beta Client were polished.
- The resource separation in the stock market was reworked. Food and Goods are now grouped together in one category in the overview.
- Scroll bar width was increased to improve usability and make scrolling through offers easier.
- Games listed in New Games and My Games have a label for beta games to make it easier for Frontline Pioneers to identify which rounds are beta games and which are regular games. The list also returned to the previous way of sorting the games and separate categories were removed.
- A real time XP bar was added on top of the screen to see real time account progress.
- The player number was added to the thumbnail of game rounds.
- It is now possible to cycle through the unit details of all levels of a unit type when opened from the production menu or research menu by clicking on the arrows to the left and right.
- “Province order” was renamed to “Target morale”
- The displayed value was changed to the final morale value that the morale will gravitate towards, without a “+”. For example, “Target morale: 102” in case of provinces with no negative influence.
- The current day of the game was added to the game details.
- Provinces in the Province List can be pinned and unpinned now. The list can be sorted for pinned provinces to have them displayed on top of the list.
- The tooltip when hovering over a moving army now displays the travel time in addition to the arrival time.
- Several panels and popups received background images, such as the victory progress panel.
- All icons on the right side of the screen had their sizes unified and downsized to take up less space and be more consistent.
- The wiki button on the right is now closable.
- The resource bar now displays additional decimal values, allowing players to make more accurate decisions.
Bug Fixes:
- A bug was fixed that caused the chat to falsely display spectating players as having joined the round.
- An issue with anonymous rounds was resolved that caused the username to be displayed in chat.
- A bug was fixed that prevented borders from being displayed correctly on some maps when zoomed out.
- An issue was resolved that prevented filters for Front Reports to be displayed correctly on mobile devices.
- A bug was fixed that prevented the "Add to Queue" button from working for nameable units on mobile devices.
- The Forced March button for Planes was removed, as it was falsely displayed and had no functionality for this unit type.
- A bug was fixed that could cause the Coalition List to break on mobile devices when more than ten Coalitions were present on a map.
- An issue was resolved that caused stealth units being able to scout other stealth units and engage them when the Fire Control was set to Aggressive.
- A bug was fixed that allowed players to micro jump units by abusing the merge mechanics.
- An issue was resolved that could cause popups to be displayed in an intrusive way. Popups now do not open anymore when another dialogue is currently active on screen.
A bug was fixed that could prevent Coalition Leaders from removing or promoting members of their coalition. All coalition members can be promoted or removed by the Coalition Leader now.
