Release Notes - 2023-02-21

 

Balancing changes:

  • Several changes to factories were made:

    • A production bonus of 100% was added to lvl 1 Factories.

    • The production bonuses for lvl 2-4 Factories were increased.

    • The production time of units that require lvl 1-4 Factories was adjusted.

    • Workshops are no longer a requirement for units that require lvl 1 Factory

    • These changes make the production of units that don't require a factory faster than their production with a factory lvl 1-4 prior to today's update. 

    • These changes will allow the production of Light Cruisers and Artillery without a workshop.

  • The minimum conditions of the following buildings were reduced:

    • Railroad 60 → 50

    • Barracks lvl 1 40 → 30

    • Harbor 60 → 50

    • Damaging the buildings will not disable them directly. There is a 10HP buffer before they lose their main functionality.

  • Mech units are more powerful than before. This meant that lvl 2 barracks became less valuable, as they do not unlock any unit. To address this lvl 2 barracks now enable faster recruitment of infantries, adding additional value to them. This gives you the choice to build many lvl 1 bracks if you want to produce many cavalries or a few lvl 2 barracks if you want more auto-produced infantries. 

    • Recruitment bonus of Barracks lvl 2 was increased 100% → 150%

  • With the new mechanics, combat is true to the numbers. This had the effect that Fortresses also reduced the damage as configured. With playtesting we realized that this value was too high and slowed down the game too much. Therefore the protection of Fortresses was reduced with today's update:

    • lvl 1 67% → 50%

    • lvl 2 80% → 60%

    • lvl 3 86% → 70%

    • lvl 4 89% → 80%

    • lvl 5 91% → 90%

    • Units will now be concealed  by the fortress lvl ~3.5
  • Good province morale can also increase production speed, but prior to today's update, the production time was capped at the values of lvl 4 factories. To fix this issue for provinces with a lvl 4 factory, the cap was lifted to allow max. morale provinces also positively affect provinces with lvl 4 factories.

    • Minimum production time of units was reduced by 10%

  • The survivability of units with a high hitpoint pool was too high compared to units with low base hitpoints. To address this, units with low base hitpoints were made dodgier to spread the incoming damage more onto units with higher hitpoints.
    Damage area of the following units was reduced:

    • Infantry 1 → 0.5

    • Cavalry 1 → 0.75

    • Transport Ship 1 → 0.75

  • Balloons can reveal submarines and fortresses now. As Fighters can reveal submarines and fortresses because they are high up in the sky, which is also true for the balloon, we enable balloons to scout submarines and fortresses from the sky too.

General

  • Information about the maps’ speed is available in the game panel. 

  • New functions were added to the stop button. Clicking ‘stop’ under a unit triggers the additional cancellation of Convert, and Upgrade orders. 

Bug fixes

  • A bug was fixed with the recent change in idle armies' behavior. At the moment, the idling armies do not initiate combat automatically no matter where they are located. This does not affect ranged armies such as artilleries.

  • A bug was fixed that displayed artillery attack rounds when hovering the attack arrow. The attack rounds are not shown anymore. 

  • A bug was fixed that made “missing requirements” pop-ups overlap with the shop. 

  • An issue was resolved with copying messages from the chat. From now on, when copying any message, usernames, and timestamps will not be included in the copy. 

  • A problem with attack cancellation was fixed. When canceling attack units used to “remember” the cancellation and still moved to the target after some other orders were given. This is not the case anymore. 

  • Several bugs were fixed that triggered error popups when clicking on users in the alliance menu. 

  • Several issues with badges were fixed. All badges as well as badge requirements are now properly displayed in the achievements tab. 

  • A bug was fixed that triggered an error message when opening a mobile shop.

  • The wrongly displayed values of infantry recruitment time were corrected. They now match real-time hours and are adjusted according to the maps’ speed. 

  • An issue with the alliance invitation was resolved. After accepting invites to join alliances, the game will refresh automatically, and your status will be updated right away. 

  • An issue was resolved that made diplomacy messages disappear when closing a pop-up. When tapping away from the pop-up to close it, the messages page should display in full view thereafter.
