There are six units available, each with their own specific purpose, strengths and weaknesses. Understanding how to use your troops is vital to victory, and so you can find a basic overview below:

Infantry

Cheap and versatile, infantry will form the backbone of your first armies. These troops are unarmoured, and do not deal a large amount of damage, but will pad out your armies and hold enemy forces in place while you manouevre your stronger troops into better positions. They can be protected by more heavily-armoured units, so be sure to mix them in with your mechanised troops.

Javelin Soldier

Capable of defending against tanks and other armoured units, these troops can punch well above their weight in any defensive encounter, and can be screened by armoured units.

Armoured Car

Lightly armoured and quick, the armoured car is an ideal scout unit. They're strong against unarmoured units, and so you can use them to punish any infantry caught out of position.

Light Tank

Capable of running down armoured cars and durable enough to withstand an assault, the light tank is a flexible unit that can catch and destroy enemy scouts or protect your infantry as they march from province to province.

Heavy Tank

The ideal bulwark for any army, the heavy tank can take on both all kinds of armoured foes. In battle, these rolling fortresses will attract enemy fire and protect lightly armoured or unarmoured allies.

Artillery

While an artillery piece caught out in the open won't last long in a straight fight, this support unit can provide value far in excess of its cost. Positioned at range or behind your armoured units, artillery can dish out damage with impunity. Just make sure you keep them safe.
